The Wright City High School Wildcats opened their 2026 varsity football season on the road Friday night against the Warrenton Warriors.
Warrenton earned the victory with a final score of 34–7. The result moves Wright City to 0–1 as the Wildcats begin their new season.
Wright City will return home on Friday, September 4, to face Westminster Christian Academy. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Wright City High School.
Fans are encouraged to come out, support the Wildcats and help create a strong home-field atmosphere for the team’s first home game of the season.
